In Children's Formation at St. Paul & the Redeemer, we seek to nurture and develop an active Christian faith by engaging the scriptural story and Church tradition, participating in acts of service, building hospitable community and sharing in worship, all in joyous response to God's unconditional love.
Kids in Worship
We welcome all children to participate fully in our worship. Chlldren of all ages are encouraged to sit among us, sing along with us, and take Communion.
Children's Chapel
During the adult sermon, creed, and prayers at the 10:00 liturgy, children are welcomed to the chapel to sing, say a creed, offer prayers for the church, the world, family and friends, and to engage with the Gospel passage of the day.
Nursery
For those parents and children who would prefer, we have a professionally staffed nursery available for all children 4 and under from 8:45 am - 12:45 pm each Sunday (9:30 - Noon during the summer).
Christian Formation
Godly Play: Sunday Morning at 10:20
We invite children from 3 years old through fifth grade to become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives through Godly Play, a Montessori-based Christian Formation curriculum. In Godly Play, we teach children the art of using religious forms of expression, including parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action. Godly Play meets each Sunday from 10:20-11:10. All are welcome.

Kids as Liturgical Leaders
Choirs
Children lead our community in worship. The Treble Choir (ages 8 & up) leads every week, while our preparatory St. Nicholas Choir (ages 5-7) sings every three weeks. Both rehearse weekly. Our Royal School of Church Music-inspired program teaches excellent musicianship as well as liturgical leadership. For more information, email Dent Davidson.
Acolytes
Acolytes lead our processions, help the clergy at the Communion table, and assist in the leadership of the liturgy. Children who serve as acolytes learn the rhythm of worship and teach it to others. Everyone eight years old or older is welcome. For more information, email Andria Skornik.
