Children from Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to be part of a learning program at SPR that is based on the Workshop Rotational Model. This method takes the spiritual development of our children seriously, but also provides interactive, creative, fun activities each week as they learn and grow. In the Workshop Rotation Model, children work through one story or concept for several weeks, using different learning approaches in each workshop. For example, in a unit on the Miracles of Jesus, 3rd graders might create fish prints on muslin, while learning about the feeding of the multitudes, while 1st graders hear stories about Miracles and write poetry. Meanwhile the 5th graders might be baking bread to share with others. Other weeks might include drama, music, or puppetry, and each class will get to experience each workshop.
