Young Adults

Monthly Activities

The Young Adults gather all together once a month for fellowship, service, or learning. For example, each fall the Young Adults gather for brunch at the rector's home, we regularly cook meals at either Ronald McDonald House or a Soup Kitchen, and we enjoy attending and discussing plays. We look forward to having you join us.

Foyer Groups

What exactly is a Foyer group? The term "foyer" is French for fireplace and comes from the Latin, meaning hearth. Foyer Group dinners are groups of adults that gather together in different homes for simple meals. Foyers Groups are a wonderful way to meet fellow parishioners to enjoy good food, good company, and good friendship!

Foyer groups consist of 6-7 couples/singles and meet monthly at individual homes or eating establishments to enjoy conversation and get to know each other. It's amazing how many new friendships are developed through Foyers; these groups really help parishioners feel more involved with the church. Can't cook? Small apartment? Don't worry! You can gather at a restaurant, order in or try a potluck. The idea is to get to know other parishioners and have a good time together.

Morning Prayer

A group of Young Adults leads Morning Prayer every Wednesday morning at 7:30. Morning Prayer is the Anglican version of the ancient Benedictine morning office. The earliness of the morning is mitigated by coffee and bagels afterwards in the Byllesby room. This is a good blend of discipline and fellowship - come try it out!
