Our worship is organic; it grows out of the life of our community: richly diverse, forward-looking, and rooted in the Anlican liturgical tradition. It is enhanced by our beautiful liturgical space, where the altar table is situated in the midst of the worshiping community. It is supported by a fine tracker organ and four choirs for people of different ages and musical abilities. It nurtures us for growth in caring for one another and in service to God's world.
SPR At a Glance
We're a thriving congregation in the Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhoods, five miles south of the Loop, near Lake Michigan and the University of Chicago. We've been in the community since 1859, but we still seek new ways to welcome newcomers, to nurture one another, and to serve God. Maybe that explains why we have doubled in size over the past five years.
Join us for fun, fellowship, sermons that are thought-provoking, and music that includes classical, gospel, jazz, and other traditions. We invite you to worship and to serve with us.
